About the BBBAA

The Bay Bulls Bauline Athletic Association is a not-for-profit recreation/sport organization, incorporated in 1971, and became a regional recreation board serving 7 rural communities in 2008. The Association is operated by a 14 member volunteer board from the communities of Bay Bulls, Witless Bay, Mobile, Tors Cove, St. Michael's, Burnt Cove and Bauline East.

The Association supports the concept of regionalizing programs and services and promotes regional based sports, leisure and wellness programs with a goal of providing new opportunities for participation through engaging residents within the region. The Association continues to foster partnerships to promote a collaborative approach regarding programs and facility access.

Mandate

The mandate of the Bay Bulls Bauline Athletic Association is to ensure the effective delivery of community-based sports, recreation and leisure time activities for the residents of the area via the establishment of facilities and the development of relevant sport, recreation and community living program for those residents of our community who wish to participate in such activities.

Vision

Our vision is of a vibrant, integrated community - one which values participation and experience as well as excellence. Our programs will be designed so as to accommodate all residents who wish to participate - even if they are limited by ability or means.

Mission

Our mission is to establish the required community-based infrastructure and program support to allow us to accomplish our vision. This will be achieved via the establishment of a centrally located community living centre and via the hiring of dedicated staff members, whose task it is to develop and deliver the appropriate programming for the diverse user groups which live and work within our communities.
